Booking of FIR Against Top Officials & A Cleric Pir Jam Sarhandi
The first information report (FIR #147/2024) regarding the killing of Shaheed Dr. Shahnawaz Kumbhar was filed by his family on September 22, 2023, in response to his alleged extrajudicial killing by the Mirpurkhas police. The FIR names 45 suspects, including high-ranking police officials and a cleric.

- Suspended Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Mirpurkhas – Javed Sonharo Jiskani ,accused of orchestrating the encounter.

- A Cleric – Identified as a key instigator Pir Umar Jan Sarhandi who led public unrest and demanded police action against Dr. Kumbhar.
